CUYAHOGA FALLS, OHIO (Sept. 8, 11:30 a.m. ET) -- Associated Materials LLC, one of the top profile extruders in North America, is changing hands in a $1.3 billion deal. The Cuyahoga Falls-based company, which makes vinyl siding and windows and other exterior building materials, has a definitive agreement to be sold to affiliates of private equity firm Hellman & Friedman LLC. TROY, MICH. (Sept. 8, 11:10 a.m. ET) -- Continental Structural Plastics’ plant in North Baltimore, Ohio, might be staying open after all. Officials with Troy-based CSP previously had said that the 214-employee plant would close in October, but now United Auto Workers Local 1889 plans to vote Sept. 11 on a new contract that will keep the plant open.
