NORTH AMERICA:
Plastics News
PRINT: The group's flagship publication,
Plastics News, is a 46,000-circulation, weekly newspaper serving primarily the North American market.
Founded by Crain in Akron, Ohio, in 1989, it covers the business of the global plastics industry.
Plastics News focuses on commercial, financial,
legislative and market-related developments worldwide that affect North American plastic product manufacturers and their suppliers and customers. The
publication's mission is to report completely, promptly, fairly and accurately, and to provide plastics industry officials with the market information and
competitive intelligence they need to do their jobs more effectively.
DIGITAL: The April 1996 launch of the
PlasticsNews.com Web site turned the weekly newspaper into a
global daily news service. Various free e-mail newsletters include:
Plastics News Daily Email, the weekly
PNMaterials Alert, the weekly
Sustainability Report and the weekly Classifieds by E-mail.

EVENTS:
Plastics News organizes several events, including its annual
Executive Forum and various other
conferences in North America, including Plastics in Medical Devices. These serve as forums for the presentation of new products and ideas and for
independent discussion of issues of concern to the industry.
AWARDS: Since 1996,
PN has given its Processor of the Year Award to a North American plastics processor, and it honors the winner in a ceremony each
year at the Executive Forum. Beginning in 2011, it also will present three
PN Excellence Awards to processors for excelling in customer relations,
employee relations and industry/public service. Beginning in 1998,
PN also has honored the work of designers by presenting its IDSA/Plastics News
Design Award at a conference organized by the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. This award is co-sponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of
America.
EUROPE:
Plastics & Rubber Weekly and European Plastics News
PRINT: Crain acquired Emap Communications Ltd.'s polymer-related assets in July 2007. Those properties, headquartered in Croydon, England, include the two
leading English-language plastics publications in Europe —
Plastics & Rubber Weekly and the monthly
European Plastics News. The
11,800-circulation
PRW has been serving the U.K. plastics industry since 1964.
European Plastics News launched in 1974, and is the only
pan-European magazine serving the entire plastics manufacturing sector, including the growing industry in central and Eastern Europe. It circulates more than
13,900 subscribers in 20 countries.
EVENTS:
PRW launched the
Plastics Design & Moulding exhibition in Telford, England, in 2005. It
now takes place annually, is shifting to London, and is adding a product design and innovation conference. The event targets U.K. designers, specifiers
and manufacturers of plastics molded products.
EPN and
PRW also organize about a dozen
specialized business and technical conferences across Europe each year.
DIGITAL:
PRW.com has more than 17,000 unique visitors per month and the publication also produces the
PRW Daily Alert newsletter. EuropeanPlasticsNews.com meanwhile,
attracts nearly 10,000 unique visitors per month, and the publication also produces the
European Plastics News Weekly e-Bulletin.
AWARDS: The Croydon group launched its annual, black-tie
Plastics Industry Awards in London in
2001, to recognize the achievements of the U.K. plastics industry.

Plastics News China
DIGITAL:
Plastics News China eWeekly launched as a free, weekly
e-mail newsletter in May 2005, along with a companion Web site,
Plastics News
China. Both are offered in English and simplified Chinese.
PN broadcasts the eWeekly every Tuesday to nearly 10,000 subscribers worldwide.
