Rory Wolf is the VP- Business Development for Enercon Industries Corp. in Menomonee Falls, WI. He holds a MBA from Marquette University and has nearly 30 years of experience in the plastics and paper industries, specifically with the polymer based flexible packaging, surface modification systems, corrugated, point-of-sale display, folding-carton and electronic pre-press segments. He is an active member of SPE, SPI and TAPPI. He has authored over thirty technical papers and industry related articles. His most recent work includes the publishing of a new book titled "Plastic Surface Modification Surface Treatment and Adhesion".
This webinar is ideal for any engineer or production manager looking to improve surface cleaning, adhesion and functionality without the use of hazardous chemicals or primers. A wide range of applications will be reviewed for printing, coating, decorating and bonding materials from the following processes:
Plasma processes create a variety of specific surface modifications and properties, primarily for the enhancement of adhesion. Good adhesion requires strong interfacial forces via chemical compatibility and/ or chemical bonding. Plasma can also be used to tailor surface energies, and to clean surfaces, in a dry and very green mode. This webinar will explain the potential functionalization of polymer surfaces and define the plasma processing techniques used to improve bond strength.
