This webinar is ideal for any engineer or production manager looking to improve surface cleaning, adhesion and functionality without the use of hazardous chemicals or primers. A wide range of applications will be reviewed for printing, coating, decorating and bonding materials from the following processes:
- Injection molding
- Films and sheets
- Blow molding
Plasma processes create a variety of specific surface modifications and properties, primarily for the enhancement of adhesion. Good adhesion requires strong interfacial forces via chemical compatibility and/ or chemical bonding. Plasma can also be used to tailor surface energies, and to clean surfaces, in a dry and very green mode. This webinar will explain the potential functionalization of polymer surfaces and define the plasma processing techniques used to improve bond strength.
- Learn how atmospheric plasma surface treatment improves adhesion for printing, coating, decorating and bonding
- Discover if blow-arc, blown-ion, variable chemistry or flame plasma is best for their application
- Find ways to improve productivity, quality control and make processes more green
