Event Detail:

The organiser of the world’s leading international events for the polyurethanes industry has announced the two-day UTECH North America conference and exhibition to be held at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, USA, June 4th-5th 2014.
The independent event will connect suppliers and buyers from across the polyurethane industry for two days of networking, learning and identifying new business prospects. US-owned Crain Communications, the organiser, has a proven track record of successful polyurethane events throughout Europe and Asia including UTECH Europe, UTECH Asia, PU China and the Sustainable Polyurethanes Conference and brings its deep industry knowledge and expertise to the 2014 North America event.
The global polyurethanes market is expected to reach $55bn by 2016, while the raw materials market (MDI and TDI) is expected to reach $22bn. The main centres of this market are in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The US polyurethanes market alone has an output of $19.4 billion, operates in 935 locations and generates 202,000 jobs.
“With a proven track record in the global polyurethanes industry as UTECH Europe, UTECH Asia and PU China, we are pleased to be able to respond to industry demand and bring our successful formula to North America,” said Sue Rothwell, Business Development Director at Crain Communications, organisers of UTECH North America. “We have already had very strong interest from key players in the global and US polyurethanes market wanting to take a booth at the exhibition and technology and innovation leaders wishing present a paper at the conference.”
Often described as the hidden polymer, polyurethanes are ever more widely used throughout manufacturing and construction industries today. Applications are as diverse as automotive, aerospace, building and construction, furniture and bedding, electrical and electro-technical, footwear and textiles, mining and offshore, pipes and pipelines, refrigeration and insulation as well as specialist surgical and medical.
The UTECH North America 2014 exhibition and conference will offer materials specialists from across all these industries the perfect opportunity to see global advancements in polyurethane technology including all the latest products and machines.
