EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Thermo-Cision Molded Products Inc., a custom injection molder in East Hanover, reduced scrap rates as a result of its purchase of three all-electric injection presses.

Cincinnati Milacron Inc. supplied the machines. Thermo-Cision Molded's first all-electric machine was an 88-ton Roboshot, purchased in 1990. Michael Kapp, president of Thermo-Cision, said it replaced a failing hydraulic press.

The company bought a 300-ton, 28-ounce Roboshot in 1993. In 1995, the molder purchased a 165-ton, 13-ounce Elektra press.

Kapp plans to move the company exclusively to all-electric machines.
