DSM RESINS BUYS HALF OF CHINA UP VENTURE

ZWOLLE, NETHERLANDS—DSM Resins of Zwolle has acquired BASF AG's share in a Chinese joint venture that makes unsaturated polyester.

Jinling Petrochemical Co. of Nanjing, China, affiliated with China Petrochemical Corp. (Sinopec) of Beijing, has a 50 percent stake in the firm, which was renamed Jinling-DSM Resins.

The former Jinling-BASF plant employs about 100 and has a capacity of 20 million pounds per year. BASF AG is based in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
