BESPAK UK — Robert Barr was named managing director of the operating unit of pharmaceutical and medical device injection molder Bespak plc of King's Lynn, England. He now is commercial director and will take the new post April 1.

CRANE PLASTICS CO. — Raymond Strutner has retired as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the profile extruder in Columbus, Ohio.

CULVER CITY COMPOSITES CORP. — Ray Williams was named vice president of marketing and sales and Glenn Chang was named senior research chemist for the subsidiary of Los Angeles-based American Materials & Technologies Corp.

FOAMEX INTERNATIONAL INC. —The Linwood, Pa., packaging foam manufacturer has promoted Vincenzo Bonaddio to the newly created position of vice president of technology.

GENCORP INC. — Randy Marvel has been named plant manager at the Auburn, Pa., calendering and converting facility operated by the Fairlawn, Ohio, manufacturer's Decorative Products Group.

GI PLASTEK — Darrel Hastings has been named director of operations management of the Elyria, Ohio, custom molder, while John Barrett joined the company as sales engineering manager. Kent Mills was hired as materials director for the firm's injection molding unit. Kraig Anderson joined the company's Bellville, Ohio, facility as engineering manager, where Jim Smith was promoted to project manager. Richard Reublinger was named materials manager at Plastek's Newburyport, Ma., injection molding plant and MaryAnn Andrews was promoted to marketing services manager at the Marysville, Ohio, plant.

INTERPLASTIC CORP. — Sean McMullen was named general manager of the molding products division in South Bend, Ind. Interplastic is based in St. Paul, Minn.

K'NEX INDUSTRIES INC. — The Hatfield, Pa., maker of plastic construction toys named Norman Walker president and chief operating officer, effective April 1. Walker will leave his position as president of toy maker Hasbro Inc.'s International Group. Walker helped arrange the joint venture in which Hasbro distributes K'Nex toys outside the United States and Canada.

LA MAR PLASTICS PACKAGING LTD. — Joel Strassman has joined the Freeport, N.Y., packaging company as sales manager.

LING PRODUCTS INC. — Gene Gunderson was promoted to president of the Neenah, Wis., health-care and food-service industries subsidiary of Banta Corp. of Menasha, Wis.

MANCHESTER PLASTICS — Tony D'Alessandro was promoted to general manager of the Charlotte, N.C., rotational molder's Homer Division, replacing Elizabeth Griffith, who resigned.

MCKECHNIE PLC — Michael Ost, chief executive officer of the plastic and metal engineering component maker, has resigned after 10 years with the West Midlands, England, firm. He will be replaced in March by Andrew Walker, a former chief executive officer of South Wales Electricity.

PLASTIC BAG ASSOCIATION —Newly named officers for the Plastic Bag Association are James Funderburk of First Brands Corp., president; H.J. Garrett of Dow Chemical Co., vice president; Dale Weaver of Rollpak Corp., secretary; and Ronald Basso of Continental Extrusion, treasurer. Each will serve a two-year term. PBA, headquartered in New York, is a consortium of 60 North American plastic bag manufacturers and suppliers.

TENNECO INC.—Paul Stecko, president and chief executive officer of Tenneco Packaging, also was named chief operating officer of the Greenwich, Conn., parent firm.
