NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. — Two color-measurement technology firms for plastics and other industries plan to merge operations. Macbeth Division of Kollmorgen Instruments Corp. said it will merge with the Gretag Color Control Systems Division of Gretag AG by mid- April.
The new firm, called GretagMacbeth, will be based in New Windsor, where Macbeth has a 100,000-square-foot head office and manufacturing plant that employs most of its 200 workers. The facility is ISO 9001 certified. The company's parent, publicly traded Kollmorgen, is in Waltham, Mass.
Gretag Color, based in Regensdorf, Switzerland, has an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing plant there. It also has sales and service offices in Chicopee, Mass., and Frankfurt, Germany. Gretag AG is a private company in Regensdorf.
