Two insulation products companies, Dow Chemical Co. and Icynene Inc., have announced their participation in the Energy Star Insulation Program, co-sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy.

Midland, Mich.-based Dow makes Styrofoam extruded polystyrene insulation. Icynene of Mississauga, Ontario, makes a spray-on insulation system that uses a two-part system including carbon dioxide and a proprietary material. The Energy Star program recognizes products that reduce energy bills.
