Injection molder Resistance Technology has added five new presses and is studying whether to double the size of its Arden Hills, Minn., plant, said Rick Fackler, new product development manager. The company employs 250 in two plants in Minnesota.

The additional presses bring its total up to 19, he said. About half the firm's business is in medical plastics, with the rest in electronics and telecommunications, he said.

The company is owned by Selas Corp. of America and has about $26 million in annual sales, Fackler said.
