Micro-Biomedical Tubing Inc. has established a research and development function and broadened its product lines, according to Ricardo Pena, president and technical director.

Last year, the firm formed MBT Dimensions for R&D activity and introduced a line of miniature polyimide tubing composites for medical and electrical applications. Inner diameters measure from five thousandths to 92.5 thousandths of an inch.

Founded in 1992, Micro-Biomedical made more than 3 million feet of tubing in 1996 and occupies two buildings with a total of 9,000 square feet in Cartersville, Ga.
