ANAHEIM, CALIF.—YLA Cellular Products Co. of Dublin, Calif., supplies an ultraporous, highly perforated carbon honeycomb core for the bulkhead and liquid hydrogen tank septum on the next-generation X-33 space shuttle, Michael Fellman, president, said at the SAMPE show in Anaheim.

The work was awarded in early 1997.

Alliant Techsystems Inc.'s composite structures operation in Magna, Utah, builds the tanks under a National Aeronautics and Space Administration program for which Lockheed Martin Corp. is the prime contractor.

YLA Cellular Products was formed in 1995 and employs 12.
