EASTMAN CHEMICAL CO. — Ryoichi Imaizumi was named president of Eastman Chemical Japan Ltd. in Tokyo, replacing Earle Paquin, who returns to the company's Kingsport, Tenn., headquarters as assistant to Eastman's president of worldwide sales. James Lewis was named vice president and general manager of the company's container plastics business, replacing Allan Rothwell, who was appointed vice president of corporate strategy and business development. Phillip Griswold will succeed Lewis as vice president and general manager of Eastman's flexible plastics business, while William Hammack was named principal account development supervisor in the Southeast.

NATIONAL PLASTICS CENTER & MUSEUM — The Leominster, Mass.-based organization named Steven Uhlmann chairman of the board of governors. Uhlmann is chairman of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based custom injection molder Tech Group Inc.

PLASTICS ACADEMY — The Leominster, Mass.-based academy named Islyn Thomas chairman emeritus. Thomas is past president and chairman of the academy, which administers the Plastics Hall of Fame and is associated closely with the Society of Plastics Engineers.
