By Design: The University of Houston's EunSook Kwon

November 11, 2009

EunSook Kwon, associate professor at the University of Houston and director of its industrial design program, discusses how plastic's image changed over the years from being innovative materials to being seen as cheap and disposable. She talks about how brand owners and designers are working to counteract that perception. Dr. Kwon served as director general of the 21-day Seoul Design Olympiad, which brought more than 2 million people to the South Korean capital in October 2008.
