By Design: IDSA President-elect George McCain

In this initial eposide of PN's By Design 2010 video series, Editor Robert Grace interviews George McCain at the recent Industrial Designers Society of America trade association conference in Portland, Ore. When not working at his own 3½-year-old firm, McCainDesign, McCain is teaching design at his alma mater, the University of Washington. Come January, he’ll have the opportunity to apply his entire repertoire of business and educational skills in his next big role as president of Dulles, Va.-based IDSA.
