Teknor Apex Co. has purchased the Sarlink-brand thermoplastic vulcanizate business from Royal DSM NV for an undisclosed price. Hexion Specialty Chemicals Inc. is merging with Momentive Performance Materials Inc. to create a specialty chemicals company with annual sales of $7.5 billion. Plus, biocomposites developer MCG Bio Composites LLC has struck a toll compounding deal with MGP Ingredients Inc. under which MGP will produce biocomposites using corn cobs as a primary biomass filler for MCG.
