By Design: Autodesk's Keith Perrin

Since San Rafael, Calif.-based Autodesk, known for its AutoCAD design software, bought Moldflow Corp., a maker of computer-aided engineering software for plastics in Framingham, Mass., for $297 million in 2008, these efforts have had an even more pronounced effect on those designing plastic parts. At the recent Industial Designers Society of America conference in Portland, Ore., Plastics News Editor Robert Grace caught up with Keith Perrin, a senior industry manager for manufacturing for Autodesk, to hear about upcoming projects.
