San Diego-based Sotera Wireless Inc. aims to address "preventable patient deaths" with its plastics-intensive ViSi Rapid Response Response product, a wireless platform for continuous vital signs monitoring that keeps clinicians connected to their patients. In an interview with PN Editor Robert Grace at the recent IDSA conference in Portland, Ore., Chief Technology Officer Jim Moon describes Sotera's partnership with Eastman Chemical Co. to get parts made for the devices.
