Recent North American price drops for polypropylene and polyethylene resin are featured in this week's Material Insights video. Since Oct. 1, prices for PP in the region have fallen an average of 14 cents per pound. PE prices at first were reported as falling 3 cents per pound since Oct. 1, but later began to move to an average of 5 cents. Weakening demand for both materials played a role in the decreases. Prices for both materials had been flat for the previous two months.
