A change in the executive ranks at Sabic Innovative Plastics is featured in this week's Material Insights video. Sabic IP veteran Charlie Crew will retire from his role as executive vice president at the engineering plastics leader on Jan. 1. Crew will be replaced by industry veteran Keith Smith, who's been with global plastics and chemicals giant DuPont Co. since 1980. Klesch Group's takeover of the European vinyls business of Arkema also is covered in this week's video. The video also includes PolyOne's Innovation Week event, which featured Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen. This week's video wraps up with a recognition of the 100th anniversary of resin distribution leader H. Muehlstein & Co. The firm was founded in 1911 by Herman Muehlstein, an immigrant from Austria-Hungary.
