BELMONT, N.C. (Dec. 19, 3:35 p.m. ET) — Wilbert Plastic Services Inc. is adding 150 jobs to its Lebanon, Ky., molding plant to make parts for Ford Motor Co.

The expansion, announced by Kentucky Gov. Steve Breshear’s office in a Dec. 14 news release, will add 150 jobs to the 110 already in Lebanon. Wilbert will add a line to injection mold interior parts for the 2013 model year Ford Escape sports utility vehicle, assembled in Louisville, Ky.

The state provided a $1 million grant to help WPS buy needed equipment for the new production. It did not disclose the amount of money the company will invest for the expansion, but noted it will provide an estimated $4.6 million in increased wages for the expanded work base.

Wilbert Plastic Services is based in Belmont, N.C., and has both thermoforming and injection molding production at eight facilities in the U.S.
