OOSTBURG, WIS. (Jan. 26, 11:20 p.m. ET) — Dutchland Plastics Corp., a Wisconsin-based rotational and blow molder, has purchased the assets of Continental Southern Industries Inc., an industrial blow molder in Greenville, S.C.

Daven Claerbout, Dutchland executive vice president of sales and co-owner, said in a telephone interview his firm bought three accumulator-head blow molding machines, two with 60-pound shots and one with a 35-pound shot. He said Dutchland will continue to operate the machines in Greenville, as the deal enables the company to broaden its geographical reach into the Southeast.

Dutchland also is expanding its growing blow molding services. The rotomolding company first got into blow molding in the mid-1990s at its headquarters in Oostburg, Wis.

CEO Carl Claerbout, Daven’s brother and a co-owner, said Dutchland is committed to expanding U.S. manufacturing.

“CSI has earned a reputation for providing large, custom blow molding capabilities,” Carl said in a news release. “At Dutchland, we have molded our reputation on customer service. The combination of Dutchland’s strong reputation and experience with CSI’s capabilities will be a powerful benefit to our customers.”

Terms were not released for the asset sale.

Dutchland also runs a rotomolding plant in Sherrill, N.Y.
