SAS Automation LLC said its new GSZ spring-loaded sprue plier arm is compatible with the GRZ 20-16 sprue/part pliers.

The spring-loaded arm enables the GRZ to absorb the ejector stroke of the mold. This is ideal for use when sprues and runner systems do not stay on the ejector pins after they are ejected from the mold, said the company in Xenia, Ohio.

“This saves on costly mold modifications for stubborn sprues,” said SAS General Manager Robert Dalton.

The arm’s end is ported for quick-touch pneumatic hose connections. The plier arm is available with clampable shafts and threaded shafts.
