CONOVER, N.C. (Feb. 16, 2 p.m. ET) — PSI-Polymer Systems Inc., a maker of screen changers, gear pumps, mixers and diverter valves, has opened a subsidiary in Germany to serve the European market.

The Conover-based company recently established PSI-Polymer Systems Europe GmbH in Talheim, near Heilbronn, Germany. The operation is led by Manfred Wege, former managing director of Dynisco Europe GmbH in Heilbronn.

The subsidiary will serve as a sales and distribution office for Europe, and will stock systems and spare parts. PSI-Polymer Systems will continue to manufacture products at its North Carolina headquarters, but the Talheim location will configure systems and provide value-added services, according to PSI President Glenn Woodcock.

“We’re proud to expand our operations in Europe and to have Manfred lead this new subsidiary,” Woodcock said. “Our customer base is rapidly expanding there and we needed a local presence to serve the market."
