HSINCHU, TAIWAN (March 14, 1:20 p.m. ET) — In the other announcement, CoreTech System Co. Ltd., the Taiwanese company that makes Moldex3D mold-filling software, has entered into an agreement with Trexel Inc., the MuCell developer in Wilmington, Mass.

CoreTech, of Hsinchu, Taiwan, and Trexel are jointly establishing a detailed plan and specifications for development and validations.

“We are very excited about this collaboration wit CoreTech System and Moldex3D to develop a truly representative MuCell mold filling simulation tool by considering the process characteristics under different polymers, fillers and injection parameters,” said Steve Braig, Trexel’s president and CEO.

CoreTech President Venny Yang said three-dimensional simulation software has advanced significantly. “It allows more realistic simulation results for versatile processes with high accuracy and reliability, Yang said.

The Moldex3D North American sales and support center is in Northville, Mich.
