ORLANDO, FLA. (April 5, 5:40 p.m. ET) — Uniloy North America has delivered a structural foam molding machine to Russia—to iPlast Ltd., which will make a collapsible pallet bin.

Uniloy North America, parts of Milacron LLC, said it the first low-pressure, multi-nozzle structural foam molding system in Russia.

The machine is a Uniloy USF Series press. iPlast is based in Nizhnekamsk, Russia.

Ed Hunerberg, Uniloy’s vice president of structural foam technology, said the sale is significant. “It recognizes the adoption of world-class plastics manufacturing technology in the former Soviet Bloc countries,” he said. “Until fairly recently, the structural foam/web process was primarily a technology used in the Americas.

Uniloy also recently delivered its first structural foam molding systems to Poland and China, and soon will install a machine in Thailand.

Uniloy Milacron delivered the complete production system for iPlast, including resin handling, mold design and manufacturing, resin handling and other auxiliary equipment.
