LATTA, S.C. (April 13, 5:25 p.m. ET) — Diversified Plastics Inc. will invest $2.5 million to expand its facility in Latta, S.C. The rotational molder manufactures material-handling carts, heavy duty utility carts, plastic utility carts and bulk containers for the textile, hospitality, laundry agricultural and marine industries.

The expansion will create 15 new jobs.

“Demand for our products continues to grow and this expansion will allow us to increase our market share,” CEO Tommy Wallace said in a news release. “Dillon County and South Carolina have always provided us with an excellent business climate and skilled workforce and we greatly appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials.”

The expansion will further the operations of the plant by increasing capacity and adding new tooling for an additional product line.

DPI placed 57th in Plastics News’ rankings of North American rotational molders, bringing in an estimated sales of $5.5 million.
