ISRA Surface Vision Inc. of Duluth, Ga., used NPE to present its online, 100 percent inspection system for blown film, which inspects the film after lay flat before edge trim or after edge trim at each winder.
It checks gels, black specks, colored gels, die lines, chevrons, wrinkles, holes and contamination for pigmented and non-pigmented films. A screen shows real-time information, and it differentiates defects by production level and classifies them as important or unimportant. It informs production employees via optical and acoustic alarms.
