Injection press maker Milacron LLC made news at NPE2012 for a new injection press controller, expanded gearbox rebuilding for extruders and a new online aftermarket ordering service.
Milacron introduced the Endura II controller to the U.S. market, and announced some upgrades. At NPE2012 in Orlando, the Endura II ran Milacron’s new Magna T Servo press.
“Because the Endura line is manufactured by the same company as [Milacron’s] Mosaic, it creates a user-friendly common platform for our customers,” said Brian Bish, Milacron’s global hydraulic machine product manager. “With its debut in the U.S. market, companies with global branches can have consistent, high-performance controls on their machines around the world.”
The Endura II includes a new screen layout for better graphics and readability. The controller displays the last thousand cycles for alarm and process monitoring, plus one year of production monitoring. It can store data on up to 80 molds, making startup faster.
In other news, Milacron’s Wear Technology division is expanding its gearbox rebuilding services for extruders, and Milacron’s aftermarket business is adding online ordering. The company demonstrated the e-commerce system at its booth.
