TOLUCA, MEXICO (June 21, 2:30 p.m. ET) — German thermoforming machinery company Illig Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG has invested more than 4 million euros ($5 million) in a new facility in Mexico.

Previously based in Mexico City, Illig Latin America has moved to a new location in Toluca, capital of the central Mexican state México, which is about 65 km southwest of Mexico City.

The new facility has a 1,260 square meter hall and a three-story office building with 2,000 square meters of usable space. The office space includes a large exhibition room and two training facilities on the ground floor, plus offices for customer service, sales, tool design, administration and also conference rooms on the first and second floors.

Heilbronn, Germany-based Illig said the Toluca service center will support customers in the whole of Central America, the Caribbean islands and some countries in the north of South America.
