GLOUCESTER, MASS. (Sept. 5, 10:15 a.m. ET) — Gloucester Engineering Co. Inc. and Italy-based Dolci Extrusion srl will share winding technology and offer customers a choice of GEC or Dolci winders for cast stretch film.

“Both companies see applications and opportunities where they will be able to better serve customers by giving them an alternative winder choice,” said Riccardo Castello, president of Dolci Extrusion in Biassono, Italy.

Mark Steele, CEO of the Gloucester-based equipment company, said the winders of Gloucester Engineering and Dolci are complementary in application, cost and functionality, and both companies can better serve customer needs in specific circumstances.

“This strengthens the competitiveness of our shared offerings around the world while leveraging the service capabilities of our companies,” Steele said.

The agreement, announced Sept. 5, is effective immediately. Both companies will be releasing more details about the agreement.
