SALINE, MICH. (Sept. 17, 8:45 a.m. ET) — Doug Callahan has been named president and chief operating officer of MMI Engineered Solutions, an engineering company that designs, tools and molds products for  material handling and lightweighting applications using composites and engineered resins.

Callahan previously served as vice president of engineering for MPC Inc., a Walworth, Wis., based injection molder and extruder.

He holds an undergraduate and a masters degree from Lawrence Institute of Technology and a law degree from University of Detroit Mercy.

“We are excited to have Doug join our team,” said T. J. Connaughton, CEO of MMI-ES, in a news release. “His business background and extensive engineering and product development experience will be a tremendous asset to our operations in Saline.”
