Bunting Magnetics buys U.K. magnet company

NEWTON, KAN. (Sept. 24, 1 p.m. ET) — Bunting Magnetics Co.’s European operation, Bunting Magnetics Europe Ltd., has purchased E-Magnets UK Ltd. in Sheffield, England.

E-Magnets UK supplies magnetic products, direct and wholesale, through the United Kingdon and the world. Alistair Richardson, who founded the company in 2005, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations.

E-Magnets sells through its website, www.e-magnetsuk.com.

“We are expanding our capabilities in today’s rapidly growing e-commerce environment,” said Robert J. Bunting, owner and CEO of Bunting Magnetics in Newton. He said E-Magnets UK has “outstanding market recognition for their product assortment and is well-known within the European Union.

Bunting Magnetics Europe is based in Berkhamsted, England.
