Pocket-sized instrument measures color

September 26, 2012

X-Rite Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., introduced a pocket-sized color measurement instrument, called RM200QC.

The small spectrocolorimeter helps companies manage color of plastic parts, coatings and textiles, accurately and affordably.

According to X-Rite, the RM200QC is inexpensive enough for companies to buy multiple units that can be stationed at individual machines, or at critical steps in the workflow, to alert quality control personnel if the manufacturing process is out of control. Companies can use the instrument to compare incoming raw material or finished products with color swatches, fan decks or sample products.
