Kydex colored sheet aimed at aircraft interiors

Kydex LLC has launched a colored transparent sheet formulated to meet toxicity requirements for interior aircraft components.

Kydex FST CTL is the first colored thermoplastic translucent sheet meeting compliances of the aviation industry, claims Bloomsburg, Pa.-based Kydex. The series was developed to meet Boeing and Airbus requirements for interior parts and is available in eight colors. The line provides design flexibility for three-dimensional components where transparency enhances functionality, as in privacy walls, counter wraps and monuments.

“At Kydex, we understand the challenges designers face in industries like aviation, particularly that design-forward products must also meet industry compliance,” states Kydex President Ronn Cort in a news release.

Kydex featured the sheet at Aircraft Interiors Expo Americas in Seattle, Wash., on Sept. 25.
