FLORENCE, KY. (Oct. 1, 9:15 a.m. ET) — KraussMaffei Group has confirmed its plan to move Netstal Machinery Inc., the U.S. operation of Netstal-Maschinen AG, from Devens, Mass., to Florence.

Plastics News had reported the planned move on Sept. 21.

Netstal Machinery will move into KraussMaffei Corp.’s North American headquarters. Netstal has already moved its parts warehouse to Florence.

In an Oct. 1 news release, Paul Caprio, president of KraussMaffei Corp., said the company was certain the move would be to customers’ advantage, “since you will be able in future to select the right product for you from the right brand and the right service from our extensive range of products and services corresponding to your needs.”

KrausMaffei group said all three brands would continue to operate independently. Munich-based KM said there were no plans to reduce the number of sales, service and parts personnel as part of the move.
