THORNTON, ENGLAND (Oct. 4, 1:45 p.m. ET) – Victrex plc, the high performance polymer manufacturer, has started construction of a new 90 million pound ($145 million) polyetheretheketone production plant at its Hillhouse facility in Lancashire.
The plant, which is expected to come online in early 2015, is Victrex’s third on the Lancashire site and will raise the group’s annual PEEK capacity to more than 7,000 metric tons, up 141 percent from its current levels.
The investment in the new facility is expected to be funded out of operating cash flow, the group said in a trading update.
