Chevron Phillips adds Davis-Standard winder

Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. recently added a new Davis-Standard stationary knife winder and roll changer to the company’s extrusion coating laboratory in Bartlesville, Okla.

CPChem uses the lab to develop new resins for extrusion coating. The winder offers full-speed starts and excellent winding capabilities for a wide range of materials. The lab line runs at speeds up to 1,800 feet per minute. The winder supports finished-diameter rolls up to 50 inches, on 3-inch, 6-inch and 12-inch cores.

The converting systems business is in Fulton, N.Y.
