ANTEUIL, FRANCE (Oct. 11, 1 p.m. ET) – Delfingen Industry SA, a global supplier of electrical wiring protection systems, has purchased Hilec LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

Hilec makes coated fiberglass insulation sleeving and related products for use in electric motors, generators, transformers, appliances, lighting devices and wiring harnesses. The West Allis, Wis.-based company produces vinyl, acrylic, and silicone rubber coated sleeving as well as heat-cleaned glass and saturated grades. The products are used in a variety of UL insulation systems.

As a result of the deal, which was finalized Aug. 31, Hilec’s manufacturing activities will be transferred from its plant in Arcade, N.Y., into a Delfingen sleeving plant in nearby Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Delfingen, which is based in Anteuil, said the deal strengthens its expertise in textile sleeving and product development, and diversifies its automotive customer base.
