REGENSBURG, GERMANY (Oct. 18, 10 a.m. ET) — Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH is expanding its facility in Küssnacht, Switzerland, to cater for demand for complex medical plastic systems.
The Regensburg-based firm has built a new ISO class 8 clean room to produce auto-injection systems. The clean room is equipped with injection molding machines, robots and automated assembly lines.
Gerresheimer says the expansion will create 20 new jobs but declined to specify the size of the investment when contacted by European Plastics News.
After completion of the expansion, the Küssnacht site will have a production area with a total of more than 3,700 square meters.
