PAWCATUCK, CONN. (Oct. 22, 2:35 p.m. ET) — Extrusion and converting machinery manufacturer Davis-Standard LLC has purchased Circonix Technologies LLC, a system integrator that does drive and control system retrofits, and CX Systems, which does control panels and rigging for machinery relocations.

Davis-Standard said the acquisition of Circonix extends its aftermarket services, supports the company’s ability to upgrade programmable logic controller, drive and mechanical systems on Davis-Standard and other brands of equipment—a potential market of thousands of existing extrusion lines worldwide.

“Our combined capabilities improve our ability to co-engineer a broader range of solutions to improve functionality, process efficiency and profitability for our customers worldwide,” said Bob Florence, vice president of global sales and marketing at Davis-Standard, of Pawcatuck, Conn.

Circonix is based in Ringwood, N.J.

Davis-Standard also acquires CX Systems in Lincolntown, N.C., which does machinery relocations including rigging and installation, and electrical, mechanical and plumbing work. CX Systems also provides electrical panels to Circonix, Florence said.

Paul Bilotti, sales and marketing manager of Circonix, said the firm’s organizational structure remains the same, including the existing employees and manufacturing facilities.

Davis-Standard announced the news Oct. 22. Terms were not disclosed.
