MIDLAND, MICH. (Nov. 6, 12:45 p.m. ET) — Dow Chemical Co. has opened a photovoltaics films application lab in Shanghai.
The lab will serve customers in the Asia-Pacific region for the Midland-based company’s Enlight-brand polyolefin encapsulant films and back encapsulant composite materials.
Earlier this year, Dow opened a manufacturing facility in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, to make Enlight products.
The lab’s capabilities include lamination of films for testing in PV modules, accelerated weather testing, electrical resistance testing, moisture testing, haze/gloss measurements for films and glass adhesion testing.
