Schenck Process GmbH of Darmstadt, Germany, showed its MechaTron Min, a gravimetric feeder for very small volumes of powder, at Fakuma.

The feeder has a delivery rate between 100 grams an hour and 10 kilograms per hour. Typical applications include laboratory and test facilities for feeding extruders, mixers, mills and granulators.

The MechaTron Min features a twin screw and a vertical agitator. It is designed for quick dismantling for cleaning and replacement of the discharge devices.

Two feed hoppers are available to suit different products and feed rates. Both versions come with integrated measurement, control and regulation electronics.

The company’s U.S. operation, Scheck AccuRate Inc., is in Whitewater, Wis.
