Kiefel joins Warren, Mich., tech center

WARREN, MICH. (Nov. 8, 1:45 p.m. ET) — Thermoforming equipment and welding system supplier Kiefel GmbH is opening a new office in Warren, within an existing technical center for Proper Group International Inc. and KraussMaffei Corp.

The companies said that through their cooperation, automotive interior customers will be able to get technical help for design development, prototype processing and production machinery in one location.

The center is capable of mold design, processing of injection molded parts, foaming and punching, laser scoring and vacuum lamination of prototype products.

“We are proud to be working with the automotive experts from Proper Mold and KraussMaffei,” said Steve Hoenig, CEO of Portsmouth, N.H.-based Brueckner Group USA, in a news release.

Brueckner Group USA and Kiefel GmbH are subsidiaries of Siegsdorf, Germany based Brückner Group.
