IQMS, the maker of enterprise reporting software in Paso Robles, Calif., has announced that Plastikos Inc., a custom injection molder in Erie, Pa., has won the IQMS Manufacturing Success Award.

Plastikos was picked from dozens of nominated companies by an external panel of judges, who are not employed by IQMS.

Plastikos molds tight-tolerance connectors and medical components.

President and General Manager Philip Katen said the award is shared by everyone on the Plastikos team who played a role in the improvement project. “This award represents one of many successful continuous improvement projects that in part define our culture,” he said.

The other finalists were: Gill Industries Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich.; MPC Inc. of Walworth, Wis.; Plastic Components Inc.; Plastic Components Inc. in Germantown, Wis. and Tessy Plastics Inc. of Elbridge, N.Y.
