President Barack Obama visited custom injection molder Rodon Group LLC in Hatfield, Pa., today as part of his effort to generate public support for his proposal to avoid the "fiscal cliff" -- extending tax cuts for middle-income people and ending them for families who make more than $250,000 a year.
Obama also talked about importance of U.S. manufacturing, highlighting the company's "Made in USA" message.
Rodon Group, one of the finalists for the Plastics News processor of the year in January, is a subsidiary of K'Nex Brands LP, which makes K'Nex building toys. The two privately held companies are both owned by Joel Glickman, the inventor of the K'Nex building toy system.
Check out the video. It sounds like Obama got a kick out of meeting 100-year-old Irving Glickman, who founded Rodon in 1956 -- and in playing with K'Nex toys.
