TUCKER, GA. (Dec. 12, 10:50 a.m. ET) — Lehigh Technologies Inc. has expanded its micronized recycled rubber powders business in Latin America through a new distribution partnership with Miami-based Andes Chemical Corp.

Andes Chemical, a distributor of specialty chemicals and provider of logistics solutions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, will increase Lehigh's geographic reach and boost its ability to meet growing demand for its products, said Lehigh CEO Alan Barton.

"Geographic expansion is a key component of our growth strategy," Barton said. "Andes' reputation in the chemical industry, along with its technical and solutions-oriented approach, supports our technology strategy and facilitates our expansion into new geographies."

Based in an Atlanta, Lehigh transforms end-of-life tires and post-industrial rubber into highly engineered powders used to manufacture high-performance tires, consumer and industrial plastics products, asphalt, coatings and construction materials.
