MILWAUKEE (Dec. 14, 1:40 p.m. ET) — Teresa Schell will take over the reins of Strategic Marketing Partners effective Jan. 1, Schell recently announced.

SMP was founded five years ago by Tom Duffey, president and owner of injection molder Plastic Components Inc. of Germantown, Wis.

Duffey and his company will become clients of SMP after Schell buys SMP and becomes its sole owner, she said in a telephone interview.

“I will be able to help small- to midsize companies develop their marketing plans,” Schell said. She was an employee at Plastic Components and helped Duffey set up SMP to help other modest-size companies plan marketing strategies, she said.

Milwaukee-based SMP has focused on small- to midsize plastics processors.

“I aspire to diversify into other manufacturing areas over the next year or so,” Schell said.
