Brian Onweller, Bekum America Corp.’s customer support manager, died unexpectedly Dec. 11. He was 59.
Onweller, a Bekum America employee since 1981, had held a number of increasingly key positions at the Williamston-based company. His responsibilities included managing the company’s NPE trade show exhibits.
“Brian was a dedicated employee, a friend and mentor to all and could always be counted on to contribute his wealth of industry knowledge to anyone needing assistance,” the company said in a statement.
“He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”
Onweller is survived by Terri, his wife of 32 years, and their two children, son Shane and daughter Kari.
Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association in Chicago or the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing, Mich.
